Great news! According to the standardized announcement (No.3 of 2021) issued by the State Administration for Market Regulation and the State Standards Commission on March 9th. GB/T 39600-2021(Formaldehyde Emission Grading of Wood-Based Panel and Its Products) and GB/T 39598-2021 (Guidelines for Indoor Bearing Limits of Wood-Based Panel Based on Limiting Formaldehyde) managed by National Technical Committee of Wood-Based Panel Standardization Administration were officially released and will be implemented on October 1st, 2021. 

Based on not forget the original intention, Suofeiya became the drafter of two parts of the national standards.     

These two standards are the transformation and application for the research results of "energy saving and consumption reduction in wood industry & production safety control technology" (Project No.: 2016YFD0600700) which is the key research and development in"135" plan. As a participant in the project, Suofeiya witnessed the birth and release of this two standards.《GB/T 39600-2021》"Classification of formaldehyde emission from wood-based panels and related products" stipulates the classification requirements, test methods and judgment rules of formaldehyde emission from indoor wood-based panels and related products. it can be divided into three grades according to the limited value of formaldehyde content. That is, E1 class (≤0.124mg/m³), E0 class (≤0.050mg/m³) and ENF class (≤0.025mg/m³), suitable for indoor use of various wood-based panels and related products of formaldehyde emission classification.  

This standard is a refinement and support of the mandatory national standard GB 18580-2017 "Limits of Formaldehyde Release in Wood-based Panels and Products for Indoor Decoration and Refurbishment Materials". After its release and implementation, it can promote the production and promotion of wood-based panels with different environmental protection levels. And its products can meet consumer demand for more environmentally friendly and greener wood-based panels and products, lead industrial technological progress, and promote the green development and industrial transformation and upgrading of the wood-based panel and its products industry.   

GB/T 39598—2021 (Guidelines for limiting indoor load of wood-based panels based on limiting formaldehyde）

The standard provides information such as the terms and definitions, basic principles, calculation methods of the indoor load-bearing limit of wood-based panels, and the key points to be considered based on the limit formaldehyde emission. It is suitable for indoor furniture, cabinets, and wooden doors. , Wood wall panels, wood floors and other wood products used in wood-based panels bearing limit. It can provide guidance for consumers to rationally use the number of wood-based panels for indoor decoration, which is of great significance to protect consumers' health, eliminate indoor environmental pollution and promote the healthy development of wood-based panel industry.

These two important standards are jointly completed by the Wood Industry Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Forestry, Suofeiya Home Collection Co.,Ltd. and other units and enterprises. As a representative of the enterprise, Suofeiya has participated in the drafting, implementation and declaration of these two standards, spares no effort, and has been quietly shouldering the responsibility of environmental protection upgrading in the industry, striving to create a more stringent home life with higher environmental protection standards for the majority of consumers.

Promote environmental protection upgrades in the industry, Suofeiya has been moving forward.

The implementation of the two national standards that are about to rewrite the industry this time also gave Suofeiya a "righteous name" for its environmental protection efforts over the years.

In 2014, Suofeiya collaborated with upstream panel suppliers in the industry to create a corporate environmental protection standard E0 that far exceeds the national standard, and announced that it will transition the product E1 to a higher environmental protection standard E0. Although there is an environmental upgrade in the industry Inspur, but it has also been questioned. Many reports have misunderstood that the E0 level of an enterprise is just a publicity stunt, "it has no reputation". Behind this is the unofficial nature of the E0 level, and the national standard is only E1 level.

For many years, Suofeiya has continued to demand higher standards even though it has been questioned. In 2016, it once again launched a formaldehyde-free substrate with Kangchun board series. In 2019, it was the first in the industry to obtain NAF issued by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Aldehyde-free exemption certification and passed a number of determinations by Swiss SGS; in 2020, three more international environmental protection certifications will be added, becoming the first company in the industry to obtain five international environmental protection certifications...

In addition, Suofeiya has also  practicing quietly behind everyone's invisible, constantly promote the upgrade of national standards, for the benefit of industry and consumers.

The effort pays off. Now, the "once-standard" that has been questioned is about to be settled and implemented, and the enterprise E0 level can be "positive" successfully, and the Suofeiya solid Kangchu ENF level (no aldehyde added level) is also launched. The most surprising is that there are guidelines for the load-bearing limit of wood-base panels, which are consumers are most concerned about. Despite the hard work and exhaustion of the mad sand, Suofeiya's many years of environmental protection has finally come to a successful conclusion!

Don't forget the original intention, always have to go. The two national standards will be implemented on October 1, 2021, but this is by no means an end for Suofeiya, but a new starting point.
